The Medieval Market of Palau-solità i Plegamans is back for another year!

The Medieval Market of Palau-solità i Plegamans is an annual celebration that transforms this town in the Vallès Occidental region into an authentic medieval setting.

This year, the event is packed with activities for all ages and has a strong focus on historical outreach and an immersive experience. For two days, the area around Plegamans Castle, Sant Lluís Street, and Can Linares Park will be transformed into a true medieval setting.

The market, open Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., features stalls selling crafts, food, and drinks, as well as areas dedicated to traditional trades with live demonstrations by tinsmiths, blacksmiths, and potters. Children's rides, wooden games, and family activities can also be found in Can Linares Park.

One of the highlights is the medieval reenactment camp, with activities running throughout the day, such as knightly combat demonstrations, battle formations, and hands-on workshops. In addition, free guided tours of Plegamans Castle are offered, showcasing its historical evolution from the 12th century to its restoration. Those interested should go to the castle entrance, where the tour groups are organized.

The cultural program is enhanced with street parades, theatrical performances, and roving musicians. Characters like Ramon de Plegamans act as a connecting thread throughout the activities, bringing local history closer to the public with a touch of humor and educational value. Also noteworthy are the performances by the musical group La Torna and the oriental dances of Hawara, as well as family-friendly activities such as storytelling and puppet shows.

In addition, a free Medieval Bus service is available to access the castle, with the collaboration of Autocares Serrat, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday, with an approximate frequency of 15 minutes.
