Els Llums de Sant Pau - "El Petit Príncep"
From November 19, 2026 to January 10, 2027, Els Llums de Sant Pau, one of Barcelona 's most emblematic Christmas events, returns, celebrating its sixth edition this year with a completely renewed and very special proposal: El Petit Príncep.
For the first time, the Sant Pau Modernist Complex will host the world premiere of the official immersive light experience inspired by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry 's celebrated work. A journey filled with light, music, and fantasy that invites children and adults alike to delve into the universe of one of literature's most beloved characters.
Under the slogan "This Christmas, follow the starlight," visitors can enjoy a 19-stop tour that combines spectacular projections, light installations, sets, live characters, and interactive activities. Highlights include the return of the ice rink, an explorer's passport to discover hidden secrets, and various experiences that allow visitors to become part of the story.
Tickets are now available on the website elsllumsdesantpau.com, with prices starting from 10 euros.
A review of the sixth edition of Els Llums de Sant Pau
The Little Prince, protagonist of a fairytale Christmas
This 2026, Els Llums de Sant Pau takes it a step further and transforms its traditional Christmas route into an immersive experience inspired by The Little Prince.
Visitors will be able to discover the most representative planets, characters and settings in history through an itinerary that combines thousands of points of light, large format mappings, music and sets specially designed for the occasion.
The tour will allow visitors to reconnect with well-known figures such as the rose, the aviator, the king, the lamplighter, and the geographer, among others, and relive some of the book's most moving reflections.
The experience, created under official license, will feature narration in Catalan, Spanish, English and French, so that audiences from different backgrounds can enjoy this journey through the universe of The Little Prince.
A tour with 19 stops filled with light
One of the highlights of this edition is the new 19-stop light circuit, which will transform the gardens and facades of the Sant Pau Modernist Site into a fantasy-filled setting.
Among the most spectacular elements are the mappings projected onto the modernist architecture, which will bring the illustrations of the work to life, as well as the large light sculptures known as lanterns, elaborate and hand-painted.
The public will also discover interactive installations that react to their participation, combining visual effects, music and technology to create an even more immersive experience.
The tour will include spaces dedicated to different planets and characters from the story, as well as activities that will invite attendees to experiment, play and be surprised.
An explorer's passport to discover hidden secrets
Public participation will once again play a prominent role in this edition, but this year it will do so with a completely new proposal: the El Petit Príncep explorer passport.
During the visit, attendees can use this passport to travel to different planets and look for clues and stamps hidden along the route.
This activity will turn the walk into a small adventure, especially designed for the little ones, but also for all those who want to discover the details of the universe created by Saint-Exupéry.
In addition, the tour will incorporate other participatory experiences, such as the possibility of drawing a digital lamb that will be projected onto one of the facades of the venue.
An original way to go from being a spectator to becoming the protagonist of this imaginative story.
Live characters and a small theater
Another new feature of Els Llums de Sant Pau 2026 will be the addition of live characters and shows that will bring even more life to the universe of El Petit Príncep.
Throughout the tour, visitors will be able to meet some of the protagonists of the story and discover different scenes that will combine acting, music and visual elements.
Among the proposals , the small theater of El Petit Príncep stands out, a space dedicated to the performing arts that will include a puppet show.
These additions reinforce the family-friendly nature of the experience and allow the story to be brought closer to new generations in a visual, participatory and exciting way.
The ice rink returns to the Modernist Complex
One of the most anticipated new features of this sixth edition is the return of the ice rink, after several years of absence in the Sant Pau Modernist Site.
Integrated within the El Petit Príncep universe, it will allow visitors to skate among stars and planets and complete the visit with a Christmas activity to share with family and friends.
The rink will be made of real ice and will offer two options: a general admission ticket for 6 euros for 20 minutes of skating and a VIP ticket for 12 euros for 30 minutes, which will include gloves.
Please note that access to the ice rink requires a ticket to Els Llums de Sant Pau, as it cannot be purchased separately. The activity is suitable for people aged 4 and up, and children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult with a ticket.
As places are limited, it is recommended to book the activity in advance.
A Christmas experience for the whole family
With this new edition, Els Llums de Sant Pau continues to strive to offer one of the most special Christmas experiences in Barcelona, combining the appeal of the Sant Pau Modernist Site with an artistic and immersive proposal designed for all ages.
In addition to the light show, the event will feature a themed food area, ideal for taking a break during your visit, and an official El Petit Príncep store, with products inspired by this beloved character.
Regarding tickets, this year different rates are offered depending on the day of your visit, with prices starting at €10 during the Prince's Days, six special dates in November. There will also be reduced-price tickets, family packages, and group discounts, as well as a gift card to surprise someone with this experience.
The event will take place from November 19, 2026 to January 10, 2027, with the exception of December 24 and 31 and January 5, when the venue will be closed.
As usual, high demand is expected during weekends and the Christmas holidays, so it is recommended to buy tickets in advance to ensure availability.
This Christmas, Els Llums de Sant Pau invites you to look at the world through the eyes of El Petit Príncep, rediscovering the magic of small things through a journey full of light, emotion and fantasy.
