solidarity femturisme

Solidarity tourism is a way of travelling that not only seeks personal enjoyment, but also a contribution to social and community causes. In Catalonia, this type of tourism is gaining popularity thanks to the collaboration between tourist portals and various organisations and entities committed to social inclusion, sustainability and support for vulnerable groups.

At femturisme.cat we are actively working to offer solidarity tourism experiences through information sheets, activity agendas and free services that benefit both travellers and local communities.

We understand that solidarity tourism must be accessible to everyone, which is why we offer detailed information sheets and activity agendas free of charge, allowing our users to easily access information about social projects, solidarity events and sustainable initiatives in Catalonia.

These sheets not only include descriptions and schedules, but also recommendations on how to participate and contribute effectively to the social causes promoted.

Collaboration with Solidarity events

Charity fairs are events that combine leisure with solidarity, offering visitors the opportunity to participate in activities that support different social causes. Our portal is committed to promoting these fairs through our agenda of activities, highlighting events such as the Fira dels Somnis de Balaguer or the Embotona't Festival, where part of the profits go to charitable organizations.

In this way, we encourage our users to participate, actively contributing to the well-being of the communities.

Collaboration with NON-PROFIT ENTITIES

La Fageda is a social cooperative located in La Garrotxa that combines the production of yoghurt and other dairy products with the integration into the labour market of people with intellectual disabilities or mental disorders. Through our collaboration with La Fageda, we offer our users the possibility of visiting this cooperative and learning about its social project first-hand while enjoying the beautiful natural surroundings of the Garrotxa Volcanic Zone Natural Park.

The MONA Foundation is an organization dedicated to the rehabilitation and care of primates rescued from situations of abuse or abandonment. Located in Riudellots de la Selva, this foundation works not only to offer a safe place for primates, but also to raise public awareness about the importance of conservation and animal welfare.

Our portal collaborates with the MONA Foundation to publicize the rehabilitation and environmental education work that is carried out. This collaboration allows visitors to enjoy an educational and emotional experience, while contributing to a vital cause.

In addition to those mentioned above, we collaborate with other prominent entities such as the #APROP experience in Llet Nostra, which promotes the local and sustainable consumption of dairy products, and Mas de Colón - Casa Borges, which offers visits focused on the history and production of olive oil with an educational and cultural approach. These collaborations expand the solidarity tourism options available to our users, ensuring an enriching and committed experience.

We invite you to join this initiative and discover Catalonia in a more supportive and enriching way!
