Dry Stone Week 2025

Dry Stone Week is back for another year! This year's edition includes activities throughout Catalonia, Andorra, and the Valencian Community.

Dry Stone Week is an event dedicated to promoting and recognizing this technique as both heritage and craft.

This year, the dates have been extended to spread out the activities and make it easier for interested participants to take part in more than one event. Dry Stone Week brings together activities focused on the heritage and techniques of dry stone walling, such as workshops, guided tours, walks, exhibitions, reconstructions of dry stone walls and huts, and educational sessions. All of this forms a wide range of activities designed to promote the discovery, dissemination, and learning of this heritage.

This year's celebration coincides with the seventh anniversary of UNESCO's declaration of dry stone walling as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

The Association of Micro-villages of Catalonia and the Torrebesses City Council, with the support of the Institute of Lleida Studies of the Lleida Provincial Council, are once again at the forefront of organizing the event, which aims to give voice and value to the dry stone heritage, its craft and technique; as well as the network of entities, groups and volunteers who work tirelessly for the knowledge, dissemination and maintenance of dry stone throughout the territory.
