Walking tour of Barcelona City Centre - Forever Barcelona
Organized by: Forever Barcelona
An essential walking tour to discover the essence, evolution, and great monuments of Barcelona in a single day. From the Roman and medieval roots of the old town to the modernist grandeur of Passeig de Gràcia and the majestic Sagrada Familia Basilica.
What will we do on this tour?
This private tour combines the best of the city in a continuous itinerary that connects ancient history with the genius of Antoni Gaudí:
- The Gothic Quarter and Las Ramblas: We begin the tour in the heart of the old city, strolling along the Rambla, the Boqueria Market, the Barcelona Cathedral, the Plaza del Rei and the narrow streets full of history of ancient Barcino.
- Plaça de Catalunya and Passeig de Gràcia: We leave behind the medieval heart of the city to enter the Eixample, the elegant Barcelona of the 19th century. We will discover the "Block of Discord" and Gaudí's most emblematic façades: Casa Batlló and La Pedrera (Casa Milà).
- A walk through the Eixample district towards the Sagrada Familia: We cross the avenues designed by Ildefons Cerdà to understand the growth of the city and get closer to Catalonia's most famous monument.
- Sagrada Familia Basilica: We conclude our visit by admiring Gaudí's masterpiece. We will analyze its facades, rich in symbolism, and visit the interior with reserved access and skip the lines.
