Vilanova Batega! Popular Culture Day - Vilanova del Vallès

Vilanova del Vallès celebrates a new day of Vilanova Batega!, a proposal dedicated to popular culture that will have giants, traditional dances and family activities as the main protagonists.

The day will begin at the Cultural Center with a guided tour of the "Giants of Vallès Oriental" exhibition, an opportunity to discover this festive world up close and learn more about the region's giant heritage. Afterwards, the Cultural Center's plaza will become the main stage for the activities.

The youngest visitors can delve into local history through "The Tale of the Giants of Vilanova," a proposal from the Colla Gegantera de Vilanova del Vallès that will allow them to travel symbolically through time and discover the origins and adventures of these beloved figures.

The program continues with a giant Olympics, designed as a family-friendly obstacle course with different tests and challenges. A fun way to explore the world of giants and test the skills of young and old alike.

Traditional dances will also play a prominent role, with the participation of the Colla Gegantera de Vilanova del Vallès and the Colla Bastonera Rosa dels Vents, who will showcase some of the most representative expressions of popular culture.

The day will be completed with participatory workshops led by the same groups, designed to bring these traditions closer to the public in a direct and enjoyable way.
