Family, avant-garde and respect
We are a family-run, organic winery located in the heart of the Cordillera de Marina Natural Park, in Alella (Barcelona). We produce wines and cavas under the DO Alella and DO Cava designations of origin. Our vineyards grow on the characteristic Sauló, a sandy soil derived from decomposed granite, open to the sea.
Quality, sustainability and respect for the land are our way of understanding wine.
A lifestyle
Josep Maria and Cristina have dedicated their entire lives to viticulture. Their daughters, Mireia and Georgina, have grown up surrounded by vineyards, harvests, and bottles. It's a passion that runs in the family: knowledge, perseverance, and dedication that define our project.
We approach wine and cava with responsibility, but without sacrificing creativity, innovation, and new trends. We are committed to a product rooted in the land and with a contemporary vision. Our goal: to care for the land and control the entire production process, from vineyard to bottle .
Enjoy the moment and the scenery
Since 1991, we have worked on the Noucentista estate of Can Genís according to the principles of certified organic farming. We have created a vibrant and balanced environment, in harmony with the native flora and fauna.
A commitment to transparency
At Alta Alella, we craft wines and cavas that eschew standardization. We want each bottle to express the character of the terroir and the vintage, so that those who taste it can savor the moment and the landscape that made it possible.
The harvest is 100% manual to guarantee the highest quality. We pick each grape at its optimal ripeness and work with micro-vinifications and a wide variety of grapes. Each vintage we can produce up to fifty different base wines.
In 2024 we became part of Grandes Pagos de España, a prestigious association that brings together renowned wineries to create wines in harmony with the soil, nature and climate of their vineyards.
