Don't miss the visit to the Clock Tower and the old town of Olesa de Montserrat!
The Clock Tower (14th-16th centuries), property of the Olesa de Montserrat City Council, is one of the most significant elements of the town. It was built as a defense tower linked to the Olesa castle (10th-14th centuries) and it was at the beginning of the 16th century when it was given the height it has now (25.5 meters plus 5 meters for the bells).
Inside you will find information on the different uses and heritage elements it contains: the prison on the ground floor, the school on the first floor, the audiovisual “to the ringing of bells” on the middle platform, the municipal clock machinery on the upper level. and the bell tower with the clock bells at the crown of the Tower, from where you will access the viewpoint and be able to see a 360º panoramic view of the surroundings, presided over by the Montserrat mountain.
We will wait for you!
