Celler Miquel Jané, located in Font-rubí, in the heart of the Alt Penedès region, is a family business with over four generations dedicated to crafting quality wines. With a strong commitment to wine tourism, they offer tasting tours that combine knowledge, scenery, and gastronomy. The winery is situated in the Masía Cal Costas farmhouse, surrounded by vineyards and forests, providing an ideal natural setting for wine tourism. The Alt Penedès region is renowned for its winemaking tradition and enchanting landscapes, offering numerous routes and activities for wine and nature lovers.

The winery organizes tours with tastings of their wines every weekend at 11 am. They also offer a wide variety of activities for an unforgettable day: hotel stays, breakfasts among the vineyards, barbecue menus or calçotada (a traditional Catalan barbecue), bike tours, Segway tours or horseback riding…

Celler Restaurant

Open every weekend (and weekdays for groups) for anyone wanting to enjoy a grilled menu or a calçotada (a traditional Catalan barbecue). The grill is done outdoors, using vine shoots and branches from our old vineyards. We use only the highest quality, seasonal, and locally sourced products. We adapt our menus for vegetarians, those with celiac disease, and more.

Many have trusted us for very special family events (weddings, baptisms, communions…), as well as corporate events.

Altana Organic Pink

Wine produced entirely with this variety, from our Cal Costas estate, 500 m from the winery.

Vines around 10 years old, planted in rather poor soil, which promotes vine stress and contributes to a very interesting concentration of color, sugars, and polyphenols. Harvested at dawn and immediately taken to the winery. Destemmed and placed in tanks. Left on the skins for 6 to 10 hours, with direct bleeding, cold settling, and controlled fermentation to preserve the varietal aromas.

Short storage time and quick bottling to avoid oxidation.

• Varieties: 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Grenache
• Alcohol: +/- 13.00%
• Upbringing: Young

Tasting notes:

• Appearance: color is not very intense, tending towards pale, bright with strawberry red tones.
• Nose: slightly acidic red fruit, unripe strawberry and a hint of pomegranate, evolving towards sweeter aromas.
• Palate: fresh, with a slightly astringent note, pleasant and persistent.
• Pairing: appetizers, Manchego cheese, cockles, olives, cheese spread, white meat or grilled fish.

High-altitude ecological Xarel·lo

• Variety: 100% xarel·lo
• Alcohol: +/- 12.50%
• Upbringing: Young

Tasting notes:

• Appearance: grayish and greenish tones with a slight golden hue.
• Nose: fresh aromas, aniseed notes, white flower and ripe white fruit.
• Palate: aromatic, good acidity, structure and persistence.

The purpose of education is for students to be able to apply their knowledge to real life, which is why we propose this activity where they will be able to:

• Understanding how wine is made and marketed.

All activities are adapted to the school level and include playful proposals to reinforce learning.

Our wines and sparkling wines

The wines produced at the winery are all from the estate, organic, and made with minimal intervention. The most representative are the high-altitude XAREL·LO, the Sauvignon Blanc from old vines with very low yields, the harmonious Syrah, the Garnacha and Carignan Reserva with strong character and elegance, and the two sparkling wines: the Clasico Penedès Pareja, made from the most highly valued variety in the region, and the exceptional Sauvignon Blanc, renowned for its varietal typicity.
