Bodega Miquel Jané Font-rubí
The Miquel Jané winery, located in Font-rubí ( Barcelona ), has two estates and 100 hectares of vineyards and forests at an altitude of 500 metres.
The winery organizes wine tasting tours every weekend at 11:00 a.m. It also offers a wide variety of activities to ensure you enjoy an unforgettable day: hotel stays, breakfasts among the vineyards, barbecue or calçotada menus, bike, Segway, or horseback riding tours...
Bodega Restaurant
Open every weekend (also during the week for groups) for all those who wish to enjoy a grilled menu or calçotada. The grill is cooked outdoors, using vine shoots and vines from our old vineyards. We use top-quality, seasonal, and locally sourced produce. We adapt the menus for vegetarians, celiacs, and more.
Many have entrusted us with very special family events (weddings, baptisms, communions, etc.) as well as corporate events.
Weekend wine getaways
Escape for a weekend to discover the Penedès region. Share with us a unique day of nature, viticulture, oenology, and wine tasting, relaxing in a hotel with a spa, a rural hotel, or a hotel surrounded by vineyards. You'll enjoy one night's accommodation with breakfast included.
Our news
ALTANA PINK organic
Wine produced entirely with this variety, from our Cal Costas estate, 500m from the winery.
Vines are about 10 years old, planted in rather poor soil, which promotes vine stress and results in a very interesting concentration of color, sugars, and polyphenols in the grapes. Harvested by machine in the early morning and immediately taken to the winery. Destemmed and vatted. Each year varies, but more or less, we leave the grapes with the skins for between 6 and 10 hours, then perform direct tapping from the tank, static cold settling, and fermentation at a controlled temperature, always maintaining the varietal aromas.
Short storage time and bottling as quickly as possible to avoid oxidation.
- Varieties: 85% Cabernet Sauvignon 15% Grenache
- Alcohol: +/- 13.00%
- Aging: Young
Tasting notes:
- Appearance: not very intense color, looking for a color that is somewhat pale, but not quite there, shiny and bright with strawberry red tones.
- On the nose: A touch of slightly acidic red fruit, unripe strawberries, and a hint of pomegranate emerge. After 5 minutes in the glass, it evolves into a sweeter, silkier aroma.
- On the palate: It's fresh, with a hint of astringency that makes it very interesting. It has a pleasant, smooth mouthfeel. The aromas linger on the palate for quite a while.
- Pairing: This could be an aperitif wine, accompanied by Manchego cheese, cockles, or different types of olives. It would also go well with fresh cheese spread, white meat with juice, or grilled sardines or salmon.
High-altitude ecological XAREL·LO
- Variety: 100% Xarel·lo
- Alcohol: +/- 12.50%
- Aging: young
Tasting notes:
- Appearance: White wine with greyish and greenish tones, with a very light golden touch, which reminds us that it is a young wine.
- On the nose: a fantastically complex Xarel·lo, its fresh aroma indicates that it's grown at high altitude. Notes of anise, white flowers, and ripe white fruit. A truly gentle aroma.
- On the palate: an explosion of aromas, acidity perfectly balanced with the range of flavors, good structure and fat content . Very persistent once tasted.
Activities for schools
The purpose of education is to enable students to apply their school knowledge in real life, so we propose this activity where students will be able to:
- Experience how the vineyard is worked
- Know and interpret the landscape that surrounds them
- Learn how wine is made and marketed
All activities are tailored to the students' grade level. We'll also offer parallel activities during this visit to strengthen their learning and provide fun learning experiences.
