Xató Festival in Vilafranca del Penedès
The Xató Festival arrives once again in Vilafranca del Penedès!
A typical Penedès dish that you can enjoy with the characteristics of the five destinations where it is typical: Vilafranca, Vilanova, El Vendrell, Sitges and Calafell.
Xató is a winter salad based on escarole, which is accompanied by other ingredients such as anchovies, cod or tuna (desalted and shredded) and arbequina. The difference between the different ways of preparing xató is in the sauce. Vilafranca organizes the Xató Festival as a result of the city's presence on the Xató Route and because since its first edition it has been very well received by both the local public and those from abroad.
