Modernism Days in Gelida

Gelida celebrates the Modernism Days, a cultural event that invites visitors to discover the town's modernist heritage through activities for all ages. This year's edition, dedicated to the Gaudí Year, combines history, architecture, music, performing arts, gastronomy, and period settings in various emblematic locations throughout the town.

Throughout the central weekend, the streets of Gelida will host a modernist market featuring crafts, gastronomy, and family activities, as well as themed areas that will transport visitors back to the Modernist era. There will also be exhibitions, wooden games for families, guided tours, theatrical performances, and folk cultural events that will help visitors rediscover the town's architectural and cultural heritage.

The events will include lectures and educational activities related to Antoni Gaudí and Catalan Modernism, coinciding with the centenary of his death. The aim is to bring this artistic and cultural movement closer to all citizens in an accessible and participatory way, reinforcing local identity and the historical memory of Gelida.

The program will also feature music, dance, and family activities, with shows, modernist dance performances, period fashion shows, and open spaces for everyone to enjoy. Attendees are also encouraged to dress in period costumes to fully immerse themselves in the modernist atmosphere that will fill the town during these days.
