Feast of Saint Anthony Abbot in Santa Perpètua de Mogoda
In 1916 the first Tres Tombs Pass was held, promoted by the Societat de Carreters de Sant Antoni!
Santa Perpètua de Mogoda, a small town in the Vallès region that lived primarily from agriculture and livestock farming, blessed its horses and mules with a short procession through the streets, sharing cake, toasting with mistela (a sweet wine), and ending the day with a lively dance. This was always done with deep respect and gratitude for the animals that helped them have a better life.
This is how the Tres Tombs festival has been celebrated for one hundred and nine years: a celebration full of diverse activities. Initiatives such as the inauguration of the Monument to the Carters, the commemoration of the centenary of Tres Tombs, the entrance of a horse into mass, the "carter's vermouth" (a local drink), the children's drawing contest, and the exhibition of carts and farm tools, among many others, fill the program of the Tres Tombs Festival of the Societat de Carreters (Cartmen's Society) every year.
In 2026 we will celebrate the 110th anniversary of the Fiesta de los Tres Tombs, with the same enthusiasm as our ancestors and with deep pride in the work done over time by all those anonymous people, the people of the town.
We invite you to enjoy our Three Tombs party!
