Come and experience the Gaudí Cycle in Gelida!

The Gaudí Cycle is an initiative promoted by the Catalan Film Academy, with the support of the Generalitat of Catalonia, the Provincial Councils of Barcelona, Girona, Lleida and Tarragona, as well as the SGAE Foundation and the Víctor Grífols i Lucas Foundation. This project has created a stable network of movie theaters in Catalonia that exhibit 10 Catalan films a year, one each month, bringing Catalan cinema to more than a hundred municipalities in the region.

The main objective is to bring big-screen cinema to places where the population does not have easy access, either due to a lack of cinemas or the absence of programming in Catalan in existing cinemas.

Since its launch in 2016, the Gaudí Cycle has experienced remarkable growth. It started with 12 rooms in the province of Barcelona and, in just a few years, has reached a network of more than 100 rooms, covering all of Catalonia and even some locations abroad.
