Cattle, Horse and Sheep Livestock Fair and Competition - Andorra la Vella
Andorra la Vella will once again become a meeting point for the livestock sector with the Andorra Livestock Fair and Competition, a day dedicated to livestock and the country's agricultural and livestock traditions. The event will be a great opportunity to learn more about an activity closely linked to the landscape and mountain life.
The fair will bring together cattle, horses, and sheep, with animals from various farms arriving at the venue from early morning. Between 6:00 and 9:00 a.m. , the livestock will be brought in and prepared, kicking off a day where farmers, professionals, and visitors can share the space and discover different breeds and specimens.
One of the highlights will come at 11:30 a.m. with the auction of certified rings of the Andorran Brown breed, an activity closely linked to the promotion and appreciation of this native breed. The fair thus highlights the work being done in the Andorran livestock sector and the importance of preserving traditional livestock farming practices.
The day will culminate at 1 p.m. with the awards ceremony, which will recognize the outstanding entries and participants in the competition.
The Andorra Livestock Show and Competition is a long-standing event that combines exhibitions, livestock activities, and educational outreach. It offers an opportunity to connect with rural life, discover mountain livestock, and gain a deeper understanding of an essential part of Andorra's economic and cultural heritage.
The activity is free and will take place from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m.
