L'Hort del Metge Vall de Cardós
L'Hort del Metge is located in the village of Lladrós, which lies in the Noguera de Cardós River Valley. Along with other mountain villages, Lladrós is part of the municipality of Cardós Valley
This region is known for its rural environment, as many people still make their living from livestock farming (cows, sheep, and horses). The Pallars Sobirà region also includes part of the Aigüestortes and Estany de Sant Maurici National Park, as well as most of the new Alt Pirineu Natural Park. Both parks are rich in fauna, flora, and geology.
Natural environment and activities
The Hort del Metge's location allows you to reach the three ski slopes of Espot Esquí, Port Ainé, and Baqueira Beret in almost an hour. It is also easily accessible from the La Pleta del Prat ski slope, as it is located at the end of the Vall de Cardós in Tavascan.
The whitewater rivers of Pallars Sobirà, especially the Noguera Pallaresa, have allowed the practice of sports such as canoeing, rafting and other fun modalities to be discovered.
Visitors to Hort del Metge can experience what it means to live in a high-mountain village, without sacrificing all the comforts and with a rich environment that allows for different activities according to their preferences and the time of year: hiking, Romanesque routes, museums, skiing, adventure sports, gastronomy, and horse riding.
