The Ordino Christmas Fair

Want to feel butterflies in your stomach? Come to Ordino, in the Principality of Andorra, for Immaculate Conception and experience the excitement of Christmas!

Ordino, which has been a Biosphere Reserve since 2020, celebrates the traditional Christmas Fair by turning the entire town into an authentic Tyrolean-style Christmas market.

Several interesting features make this market a very special place. First, its location, in the center of town, spread across two squares along Calle Mayor. The Plaza Mayor features an imposing tree decorated with the finest Christmas garlands, and the Plaza de la Closa, with its wooden huts offering visitors various traditional festive food products, such as foie gras, cava, cheeses, nougat, panettones, and a space where you can try a good cup of hot wine, boiled wine, or a freshly made crepe. On Calle Mayor, you'll also find wooden huts with a wide selection of handcrafted and festive products that fill us with a very festive atmosphere.

The second interesting fact is that, in parallel to the market, there is a programme of activities for all audiences that are carried out day after day, with Christmas carol singing by local choirs and groups, concerts at the National Auditorium, Christmas Tió research gymkhanas, the open-air performance of the Ossa, a small theatre made with holograms, travelling children's shows, talks and workshops suitable for the whole family.

And the third is the Christmas tree decorations, which will be sold at the tourist office at the Casa de la Montaña. A new one is created every year, and collectors rush to obtain them.
