The Ordino Christmas Fair

Ordino, which has been a Biosphere Reserve since 2020, celebrates the traditional Christmas Fair, turning the entire town into an authentic Christmas market in the most Tyrolean style.

Several curiosities make this market a very special place. The first, its location, in the center of the town distributed in two squares and along the main street. The main square where an imposing tree stands out dressed with the best Christmas garlands, and the Closa square with wooden houses that offer visitors different gastronomic products typical of these holidays such as foie gras, cava, cheeses, nougat, panettones and a space where you can try a good cup of hot chocolate, boiled wine or a crepe made to order. On the main street we also find wooden houses with a wide range of artisanal and very Christmassy products that fill us with a very festive atmosphere.

The second curiosity is that parallel to the market there is a program of activities for all audiences that take place day after day, with carol singing by local choirs and groups, concerts at the National Auditorium, Tió de Nadal research gymkhanas, the outdoor representation of the Ossa, a theater made with holograms, traveling children's shows, talks and workshops suitable for the whole family.

And the third are the balls to decorate the Christmas trees that will be sold at the tourist office in the Casa de la Montaña, a new one is created every year and collectors rush to obtain them.
