Museu Casa d’Areny-Plandolit Ordino
The Areny-Plandolit House Museum, located in the heart of Ordino, Andorra, is the only example of a stately home in the country that has survived intact to this day.
This manor house, built in the 17th century and renovated in the 19th century, offers an immersion into the life of the Andorran nobility of the time.
The Areny-Plandolit family was one of the most influential in Andorra between the 16th and 19th centuries. Guillermo de Areny-Plandolit, third baron of Senaller y Gramenet, stood out for his involvement in the metallurgical industry and the country's politics. The house reflects the status and wealth of the family, with luxurious rooms and a collection of objects that testify to their power and influence.
The visit includes, in addition to the tour of the house, a free walk through the historic garden of the complex and Don Guillem's Dream, a multi-sensory experience that combines tangible objects, holograms, technology and the space itself to transport the visitor to Andorra at the end of the 19th century.
