Andorra la Vella
Andorra la Vella is the capital of the Principality of Andorra and forms one of the seven parishes into which the country is divided. With an area of 30 km². It is the smallest parish and the most populated at the same time. It is located at the confluence of the Valira del Norte and Valira de Oriente rivers, where they form the Valira, and is located at an altitude of 1,022 m. It forms an urban agglomeration of about 40,000 inhabitants with the population of Escaldes-Engordany.
The main industry is tourism, although trade and income from foreign capital that stays in its bank offices also stands out, since Andorra is a country with much lower taxes than its surroundings. Furniture, tobacco and cognac are produced.
To the south of the city is the interesting Romanesque church of Santa Coloma, with a circular bell tower.
