Església de Sant Climent Pal Pal
In the picturesque village of Pal, one of the best-preserved rural areas in Andorra, stands the church of Sant Climent, a magnificent example of Pyrenean Romanesque architecture.
Built between the 11th and 12th centuries, this church stands out for its architectural harmony and, above all, for its imposing three-story Lombard bell tower. With its characteristic twin windows and considerable size, this tower becomes an emblematic feature of the landscape and one of the most notable examples of this construction style in Andorra.
The interior of the church houses authentic artistic and liturgical treasures. Among them, a beautiful Romanesque carving of the Virgin of the Remedy stands out, preserving the expressive sobriety characteristic of medieval sculpture. You can also admire vestiges of Gothic mural painting and a Baroque altarpiece dedicated to Saint Clement.
Other details, such as the medieval baptismal sinks, the polychrome wooden processional crosses and the iron grille with plant motifs, enrich the heritage of this church.
