The Pastorets de l'Ametlla de Merola (Puig-reig) are back!

Talking about l'Ametlla de Merola and not talking about the Pastorets is becoming more and more difficult, they are like two close friends who do not know and cannot go anywhere without each other and that is why they have been making their way together throughout the story, holding hands and supporting each other.

And there is nothing strange about it, since the colony and the Pastorets were almost born and grew up together, at the same time, and have lived a life that already exceeds one hundred years.

The permanence of both after so many years of life linked to the efforts of the people has meant that today they are still a palpable reality and that is identified with a people who want to be so.

The Pastorets de l'Ametlla de Merola are one of the oldest Pastorets in Catalonia. A perfect show for these Christmas holidays!

The entity in charge of staging the Pastorets de l'Ametlla de Merola is the Esplai Cultural Association. Established as an entity in 1976, it had been overseeing cultural activities in l'Ametlla de Merola for years.

Pastorets de l'Ametlla de Merola were recognized with the Cross of Sant Jordi by the Generalitat of Catalonia in 2007.
