Cal Fargas Turismo Rural is a charming rural house located in the heart of the Merlès Valley, inSanta Maria de Merlès. The accommodation offers an authentic rural tourism experience, combining the tranquility of the natural surroundings with all modern amenities.

Charming accommodation in the heart of nature

Cal Fargas

The main farmhouse, Cal Fargas, dates back to the 18th century and has been completely renovated in 2024 to adapt to the needs of today's guests.

After its transformation into Rural Tourism accommodation, it can currently accommodate up to 12 people, with a total of 6 double rooms distributed over two floors: on the ground floor there are 3 double rooms with 2 shared bathrooms and on the upper floor, 3 double rooms, each with a private bathroom.

At Cal Fargas you can also see architectural details typical of old Catalan farmhouses, such as the courtiers, exposed stone walls, wooden beams... and even, if you look closely, above one of the bedroom doors there is an old inscription commemorating the year the house was built.

Cal Onclet

Right next to Cal Fargas, but with no internal connection to the main house, is Cal Onclet, a smaller accommodation that sleeps about four people. Despite having two floors, the house offers a much smaller footprint and is ideal for couples or small groups seeking tranquility.

At the entrance to Cal Onclet, after climbing a few steps, we find a small terrace that leads to the first floor. Here we find a kitchen open to the dining room, a toilet, and a small pantry. On the second floor, there are two double bedrooms and another toilet located between them. A curious detail of the house is the old bread oven entrance, which can still be seen.

Although the complete oven is no longer preserved, the shape of the opening makes it clear that, years ago, bread was baked there, as was customary in many farmhouses that had their own or communal ovens.

Large place setting

On the ground floor of Cubierto Grande in Cal Fargas, you'll find a spacious games room, designed to provide fun for both adults and children. It's currently equipped with a pool table and a foosball table, ideal for sharing games filled with fun and good humor. For added convenience, there's also a restroom and a small refrigerator.

If we go up to the first floor, we access a large and spacious room, perfect for meetings, group activities, or celebrations. This multipurpose space has tables and chairs, and a sink with water, providing functionality for different uses.

Small place setting

The Cobert Petit de Cal Fargas is a single-story space designed to offer a warm and comfortable stay year-round. It is furnished with a table, chairs, and sofas, creating a perfect environment for both relaxation and sharing good times.

One of the great attractions of this space is its fireplace, which, combined with the presence of a sink, makes it a practical and charming place.

Outdoor activities and experiences

The surroundings of Cal Fargas are a true paradise for those looking to connect with nature, discover the local heritage, or simply escape the hustle and bustle. Hiking and cycling trails can be started right from the house, exploring the Merlès Valley, a privileged setting surrounded by forests, fields, and beautiful spots.

Among the highlights are a visit to the Medieval Bridge of Saint Martin of Merlès or the Castle of Merlès, two historic sites that transport us back in time. And for those seeking a touch of magic, don't miss the themed routes inspired by legends like that of the Napa Witch, which will take you through the most mysterious and legendary corners of the area.

Wildlife lovers will also find interesting activities. The Camadoca Center, dedicated to the promotion and conservation of the natural environment, offers educational activities and guided tours for all ages.
