Who we are

Mel La Caseta was born from the passion and curiosity of Pau, who discovered his calling for beekeeping at just 14 years old. What began with four swarms and a lot of enthusiasm has grown into a project faithful to a very clear idea: " to make good, high-quality honey."

We take care of every detail of the process, from placing the hives in contamination-free areas to extracting and packaging the honey, always with criteria of respect for the environment and our bees.

Our apiaries, located in the Berguedà region, offer a wide variety of flowers thanks to transhumance, which allows us to capture the essence of each place and each season.

Sale of swarms

We produce our own swarms with carefully selected queens to ensure quality and performance. All queens are raised by us, using queen cells selected from the best boxes in our apiaries.

Our selection is based on very clear criteria: a good start in late winter, high honey production, low tendency to swarm, and an excellent wintering period with low reserve consumption. This allows us to offer strong, healthy swarms prepared for a productive season.
