The Aplec de sardanas in Sant Llorenç d'Hortons is back for another year!
The first Aplec Sardanista de Sant Llorenç de Hortons was held on June 17, 2005. Since then, it has been organized uninterruptedly to this day thanks to the impetus of the Petúnias and Gladiols sardanista group.
Sant Llorenç d'Hortons has a corpus of seven sardanas dedicated to the municipality. The sardanas and their composers are the following: in 2006 "Aplec de Sant Llorenç", by Josep Clavé, was premiered; the 2007, "Anys de Franquesa", by Dani Gasulla; the 2008, "Sant Llorenç Gran Reserva", by Pitu Chamorro; 2009, "Entre vinyes i pujols", by Joan Lozano; 2010, "Sardanes a Sant Llorenç", also by Josep Clavé; 2011, "En Ramon de Sant Llorenç", by Javier Forcada; and in 2012, "Petúnies i Gladiols", name of the local Sardanista group, work of the composer Tomàs Gil Membrado; and "Amics de Sant Llorenç", by Joan Bosch, the year 2025, the last sardana that was believed to be dedicated to the municipality.
All these sardanas are instrumental compositions, without lyrics.
