Saint Àgata in Prats de Lluçanès
Prats de Lluçanès will commemorate Santa Àgata for another year with several cultural events to commemorate February 5, 1714, the day of Santa Àgata, when Philip V's troops burned the municipality of Prats de Lluçanès for the first time, causing great losses and the escape of many of the families who lived there.
The Prats de Lluçanès City Council, together with the schools and different people and groups in the town, has prepared a protest day that, in addition to the traditional ringing of bells, will feature different activities spread throughout the entire weekend.
Throughout the weekend, you can buy the Santa Àgata cake at the Forn J.Bruch and at the Girvent Pastry Shop. It is a delicacy with a seasoned dough made of honey, hazelnuts, almonds, walnuts and figs that is eaten on the occasion of the day and that remembers the burning of the town.
We will wait for you!
