Sant Miquel festivities in Hostalric

The Sant Miquel festivities in Hostalric arrive once again this year with a wide range of cultural, recreational and traditional activities that will fill the town with a festive atmosphere for several days.

The program will begin on Friday with culinary offerings, traditional activities, and cultural performances. The Plaça de la Vila and various venues throughout the town will become stages for a festival that will continue throughout the weekend with a wide variety of events.

Saturday will feature sports, games, dance, family activities, and a wine tasting, as well as breakfast and a traditional sausage feast. In the evening, live music will take center stage, extending the festivities into a festive atmosphere.

Sunday will feature some of the most traditional events, such as the mass in honor of Sant Miquel, sardana dancing, a lace-making gathering, and various exhibitions and activities for all ages. There will also be board games, balancing acts, and music to round out the afternoon.

One of the highlights of the Sant Miquel Festival is the historical reenactment camp of the Napoleonic era, which transports visitors to the context of the Peninsular War, with scenes of military life, traditional cuisine and the reenactment of a vibrant 19th-century battle.
