Open day at Lavaderos del Masnou

El Masnou celebrates a new edition of the Open Day at Lavaderos, a proposal linked to the European Heritage Days that allows you to discover some of the most unique heritage spaces in the municipality.

Throughout the day, several homeowners will open their doors to showcase historic outbuildings and washhouses, spaces that are part of El Masnou's everyday history and are not usually open to the public. The tour will offer a close-up look at these sites and a better understanding of their importance in daily life and their connection to the old water mines.

The visit will be complemented by various artistic and cultural events throughout the courtyards, featuring music, visual arts, and theater performances by local organizations and schools. In this way, heritage and contemporary creation will converge in an experience that invites visitors to view these spaces from new perspectives.

Visitors can also discover the Murot-Patrana mine distribution point and freely access the Water Mine Interpretation Centre, thus extending the tour of the local hydraulic heritage.

As a complementary activity, guided tours of the Cresta mine will be offered, led by staff specializing in speleology. This activity requires prior registration.

Access to the public washhouses is free but limited, and reservations are not required. This is a great opportunity to rediscover Masnou through private, historic, and little-known spaces, and to learn about a heritage closely linked to water and the daily life of the town.
