Colonia Güell inSanta Coloma de Cervelló celebrates the Modernisme Festival!

During the festival, the streets of the Colonia come alive with characters, trades, and scenes from the modernist era. Weavers leaving the factory, working families, laundresses, nuns, weddings, dances, and other everyday situations are all part of the various theatrical performances, allowing visitors to discover the history of the area in a vibrant and interactive way.

The program is rounded out with music, dance, choral singing, puppetry, and children's activities, as well as exhibitions dedicated to the heritage and social history of the Colony. There will also be spaces to learn more about the old factory and the role the workers played in the development of this unique industrial complex.

The celebration also includes different markets of artisan, modernist and peasant products, as well as the traditional Modernist Tavern, a meeting place with food, drinks and musical performances.

This edition also has a special connection with Antoni Gaudí, reinforcing the discovery of his legacy in the Colonia Güell and the architectural value of the Crypt.

An opportunity to stroll through one of the great ensembles of Catalan industrial heritage and travel for a few hours to the social and cultural atmosphere of modernism.
