Sant Pere Festival in El Masnou

The Fiesta Mayor is the main festival of Masnou. It is celebrated on the day of Saint Peter, who is the patron saint of the town and to whom the parish church is dedicated.

A celebration that will once again fill the streets, squares, and beach with music, folk culture, gastronomy, and activities for all ages. A few days to reconnect, share, and celebrate the Masnovina identity under the elements of Earth, Sea, and Fire.

The Land, Sea, and Fire parades will kick off the festivities with a burst of color and energy. Starting from different points throughout the town, the three parades will converge on Ocata beach, where a community dinner, the opening proclamation, and a fantastic night of concerts will take place. Music will be a central feature, with Catalan rumba, brass bands, up-and-coming artists, DJ sets, youth concerts, and dancing for all ages.

Popular culture will take center stage with parades of giants, sardanas (traditional Catalan dances), correfocs (fire runs), the traditional wake-up call, the solemn religious service, and the revived water parade and colorful festival. There will also be habaneras (traditional Catalan dances) with rum, a fireworks display, and performances by large orchestras to close the celebration with dancing.

The family program will include street games, creative workshops, a foam party, children's shows, and sports activities. There will also be tournaments, races, water sports, pétanque, chess, and a charity swim.

Gastronomy will have its own space with popular dinners, the frying pan competition, the sung fish auction and the Food Trucks, which will combine diverse cuisines with live music.

A lively, open and participatory Fiesta Mayor to enjoy El Masnou with pride, tradition and village spirit.
