Festival of Sant Genís de Gavarrós (Guardiola de Berguedà)

Sant Genís de Gavarrós (Guardiola de Berguedà) invites you to experience a day full of tradition, culture and a great atmosphere in an environment with more than a thousand years of history.

The area around the church of Sant Genís will once again be the focal point of a celebration that keeps alive the link with the history and customs of the town.

The program will begin in the morning with a cultural offering dedicated to discovering the past of Gavarrós and delving deeper into its history. This will be followed by a solemn mass, and then some of the most traditional events of the festival, such as the distribution of bread rolls and the blessing of the surrounding area.

Before lunch, one of the most relaxed moments of the day will arrive, with a raffle, vermouth, and music. A time to chat, reconnect with friends, and enjoy the festive atmosphere before continuing the celebration around the table.

Food will also play a prominent role. At 2 p.m., the Fiesta Mayor lunch will be held at Cal Cabanes, with a menu for adults and a special option for children.

The Sant Genís de Gavarrós Festival is a great opportunity to visit this mountain corner and discover a celebration in a close-knit format, where religious events, local culture, music and gastronomy intertwine throughout the day.
