Fair of the products of the Alt Pirineu Natural Park and the Aranese Sheep

On Sunday, May 26, the 11th edition of the Fair of the products of the Alt Pirineu Natural Park and the Aranese sheep will be held in Arrós de Cardós ( Esterri de Cardós ).

This year a wide variety of activities have been scheduled, from the most traditional ones such as the agri-food and artisan market, the Aranese sheep exhibition and the cholla contest, as well as others such as the presentations of the "Boscos de muntanya" project to learn about their work. and the book "We eat what we had" which includes interviews with 20 godmothers from the Vall de Cardós within the Tupina Project, with the aim of preserving and recovering the oral memory of the women of this valley.

In addition, you can enjoy workshops and activities for adults and children such as: guided visits to the church of Arrós de Cardós to learn about the baroque legacy, the giant soap bubble workshop, horseback riding, the Pyrenean plants workshop, the workshop to discover spring, the butterfly workshop, etc. And in the afternoon there will be the family show "La bruixa que volia ser vella" and the folk ball concert with FolkiManxa and Helena Barril.

This year the popular meal will be salad, grilled Aranese lamb from Casa Toniquet and Ainet yogurt for dessert. Tickets can be purchased on the day of the Fair, starting at 12 noon, at the fair bar.

Remind you that like every year, on Saturday morning, May 25, the day of the Fira, the "Fem comú" will be celebrated with the Boscos de Muntanya project to carry out landscape maintenance tasks. And that in the afternoon, starting at 5 p.m., the bar and the decoration of the fair will be set up in case anyone wants to come and collaborate."
