European Heritage Days in Collbató
Collbató joins the European Heritage Days with a program that invites visitors to discover the town through its history, landscape, archaeology, culture, and music. A variety of activities will offer diverse perspectives on local heritage, with Montserrat and its surroundings taking center stage.
The program will begin on October 9 with the presentation of the book "Collbató-Montserrat", a volume that collects the conferences held in the municipality on the occasion of the Millennium of Montserrat and that offers a plural view of the massif and its territory.
The following day, a guided tour of the Olive Oil Trail will take place, a 14-kilometer route of low difficulty that connects Collbató and El Bruc. The trail winds through olive groves and past dry stone walls, incorporating various interpretive points dedicated to the landscape, olive-growing traditions, olive oil production, and forest fire prevention. The activity is free but requires prior booking.
On Sunday, October 11, you can participate in a visit to the prehistoric site of Cova Gran, guided by the excavation director, who will present the results of the 2026 archaeological campaign. Access is somewhat difficult, so it is recommended to wear appropriate footwear.
The cultural program will be completed on October 16 with the concert by Lluís Arruga, "Un artefacte de nostàlgia", at the Casinet de Collbató.
A great opportunity to discover Collbató by combining heritage, nature, archaeology and culture.
Don't miss it!
