Collbató's Main Festival
Collbató celebrates its festival coinciding with the feast of Saint Cornelius, the town's patron saint! For more than a week, streets, squares, and facilities will be filled with music, folk culture, sports, family activities, and culinary offerings to bid farewell to summer in a festive atmosphere.
Music will play a prominent role in this year's festival, which coincides with two anniversaries related to Collbató's organ-building tradition: the centenary of organ builders in the town and the fortieth anniversary of the "Orgue de Collbató" (Collbatot Organ). Concerts, dances, habaneras, and musical sessions will be part of a program that will take place in various locations throughout the town.
Popular culture will also play a prominent role. There will be human towers (castellers), giants, devils, stick dancers, sardana dances, street parades, and a fire run (correfoc), with a variety of activities bringing the festivities to the streets of the old town. In addition, the celebration will commemorate the fortieth anniversary of the twinning with Cazères with a program linked to Occitan dances.
Families will find shows, magic, games, and interactive activities, while sports will be featured with futsal and basketball tournaments. There will also be communal meals, vermouth gatherings, and other opportunities to come together around a table.
The Fiesta Mayor will also offer the chance to discover Collbató's unique traditions, such as its connection to olive oil and its agricultural landscape. Enjoy these days exploring the town's heritage, music, folk culture, and activities for all ages.
