Subirats in Bloom

Subirats celebrates a new edition of Subirats en Flor, the spring festival to decorate and beautify the facades of the different towns, villages and farmhouses of the municipality.

The initiative, promoted by the Subirats Town Council, invites residents to beautify their homes and spaces with seasonal flowers and plants, thus contributing to the distinctive landscape of the Penedès region. The aim is twofold: to encourage environmental stewardship and to recognize the community's involvement in preserving a unique natural and cultural environment.

This year, approximately 800 flower arrangements will be distributed among families in the municipality, while the remaining plants will be given to public spaces, schools, and nursing homes. The distribution will take place at the iconic Lavern train station, a symbolic location closely linked to the area and its tourism development.

This year, the event also includes a special feature to mark the 25th anniversary of the Lavern Wine Station. During the morning, participants will be able to enjoy a toast with sparkling wine produced by several wineries in Subirats, adding a festive and celebratory touch to the day.

Subirats en Flor is much more than a decorative action; it is a collective experience that strengthens the bonds between neighbors, highlights the local heritage, and invites everyone to enjoy spring in a participatory and colorful way.
