Festival of Santa Bàrbara de Súria
Súria celebrates the Santa Bàrbara Festival once again! The traditional celebration of the patron saint of mining, with social, recreational and sports activities for mine workers and their families.
The Santa Bàrbara Festival is a tribute and recognition to all the people who have worked in the Súria mines throughout its history.
The objective is to publicize the importance of the mining sector in Catalonia, but especially in Súria. The Salt and Potassium discovered more than 100 years ago in the municipality are an important natural resource in the subsoil of Bages.
