FustÀneu, Wood Culture Fair in Alt Àneu

Valencia de Àneu ( Alt Àneu ) will host the first edition of FustÀneu, a day dedicated to wood as a resource, heritage, and driving force for the future. Organized by the Alt Àneu Town Council with the support of the Alt Pirineu Natural Park and other local entities, the event will combine technical discussions, culture, gastronomy, and recreational activities for all ages.

The morning and afternoon will feature two roundtables: one focused on forest management and the other on current and emerging uses of wood —from crafts to sustainable construction. Simultaneously, visitors can enjoy a craft market, an exhibition of traditional items, intergenerational workshops, children's activities, and a communal meal.

In the evening, a gastronomic tasting prepared by local restaurateurs will give way to a chainsaw skills demonstration, culminating in a competition and awards ceremony. The festivities will conclude with raffles for experiences in the region and live traditional music, creating a festive atmosphere that celebrates nature and rural life.

FustÀneu is also a tribute to local history: it revives the spirit of the Wood Fair held more than 15 years ago, now with a renewed vision based on sustainability and respect for forests.
