Time for cinema. The CaixaForum Film Club
Organized by: CaixaForum, Fundació La Caixa
It's much more than a film club: it's a meeting point for those of us who understand cinema as a living, shared human experience. Each series revolves around a universal theme—childhood, memory, migration, war, beauty, or family—and invites us to rediscover the power of the seventh art as a mirror of life and as a space for intergenerational dialogue.
In each session, three selected films explore the theme from diverse perspectives. An expert will offer insights for a truly enjoyable experience, and after the screening, we'll open a discussion to share what moved us, what made us think, and what cinema can express where words fall short. And to conclude each cycle, a fourth session offers a unique and surprising experience: a debate with specialists, a film screening with live music, and a short performance.
Time for Cinema aims to build, city by city, a network of perspectives fueled by a shared passion: cinema as a universal language and a space for shared knowledge. Designed especially for a senior audience—but also open to curious viewers—it's a combination of unforgettable classics with contemporary titles that resonate with us today. Beyond the screening, it's an invitation to think together; to listen and participate; to reclaim cinema as a collective experience where emotions, memories, and ideas converge to give rise to a transformative reflection.
