Major Festival of La Torre de Claramunt

The dates are approaching again when the Claramunt Tower celebrates its big festival, the Fiesta Mayor!

The festival is celebrated around June 24th in honor of Saint John the Baptist. The best way to enjoy these festivities is to take full advantage of the wide range of activities offered for adults and children alike.

The festivities will kick off with the opening proclamation of the Fiesta Mayor, this year dedicated to the different generations, officially launching several intense and participatory days. Following this, the brass band will fill the streets with rhythm and joy, making its way to Torresport, where the peñas (local social clubs) will begin their activities, including a t-shirt contest and events designed to foster camaraderie among groups, friends, and families.

The program combines sports, recreational, and cultural activities. There will be a hike, a table tennis tournament, a dominoes championship, a Fiesta Mayor football match, and fun activities such as the Crazy Jump Race, Laser Tag, the Game Over game, a foam party, and a henna tattoo workshop. There will also be an opportunity to discover local heritage with a guided tour of the Iberian silos.

Music will be a major highlight, with a late-night party, a youth night, DJ sets, habaneras with rum, a festive dance party, and performances designed to get everyone singing and dancing. The Sant Joan festival will play a special role, featuring the arrival of the Flame of Canigó, cake for attendees, a communal dinner, and music well into the night.

The more traditional events will also be present, with the pilgrims' mass and the solemn service in the church of San Juan Bautista.

A lively, diverse and participatory festival, designed to create memories, build community and celebrate the pride of being a people.
