La Torre de Claramunt is an old village well oriented towards the sunrise, with a population of 3,833 inhabitants, covering an area of 14.80 km2. It is part of the Anoia region.

The old town is located at an altitude of 364 meters above sea level. It lies in the lower valley of the Carme stream, at its confluence with the Agost River, which crosses the municipality from east to west. Half of the municipality is covered by pine forest with some holm oaks and oaks; in the other half, dryland farming predominates.

The old town

Nestled in the shadow of the grand residential palace that is the old medieval castle, and the church of St. John the Baptist (12th century), closely watched over by the August River, stands the Claramunt Tower.

But the Claramunt Tower is also, nowadays, a place where urban growth is orderly, a town where single-story houses with their small garden are commonplace, where many families have settled in search of tranquility and a high quality of life.

La Torre de Claramunt is undoubtedly a town that deserves to be visited, and anyone who does so will be able to enjoy its heritage and its privileged natural environment.
