Sant Celoni Poetry Festival 2026

Sant Celoni will host another edition of the Poetry Festival, now in its sixteenth year, solidifying its position as a key cultural event for lovers of words and literary creation. The event will take place on Saturday, May 9th, in the Plaça de l'Escorxador (Library Square ), a space that will be transformed into an open stage for poetry, music, and artistic expression.

The day will begin at 6 p.m. with a series of poetry readings featuring several prominent voices on the current scene. Poets such as Myriam Soteras, Joan Baixas, Maria Garcia Garau, Víctor Bonet Arbolí, Gisela Vicenç, and Manel Dueso will share their work with the audience, offering an intimate and personal experience. This format will allow attendees to hear diverse styles and connect with different sensibilities, highlighting the richness and plurality of contemporary poetry.

At 8 p.m., the festival will culminate with a final round that will bring together all the participating poets along with guest musicians such as Bàrbara Granados, Núria Alfaras, and Dalmau Boada. This joint performance will combine poetry and live music, creating an emotional and collaborative atmosphere that strengthens the dialogue between artistic disciplines.

The festival is organized by the Sant Celoni Town Council and the l'Escorxador Library, with production and presentation by Pau Gener Galin, and the collaboration of various local cultural organizations. This initiative reaffirms the municipality's commitment to promoting culture and disseminating poetry, offering an accessible activity open to all citizens.
