Barcelona Gothic Festival
The Barri Gòtic Festival will be held from May 13 to 17 with a diverse program that will fill the streets and squares of the city's historic center.
During these days, iconic spaces such as Plaça de la Mercè, Plaça del Rei, and Plaça del Pi will be transformed into stages for popular culture and community gatherings. The program includes traditional activities like correfocs (fire runs), versots (traditional verses), and devil dances, as well as family-friendly activities such as hot chocolate, treasure hunts, and children's workshops.
Other highlights include parades, community meals, and initiatives like the Neighborhood Spring Festival, which promotes sustainability. The festival strengthens neighborhood ties and offers a participatory, festive atmosphere rooted in tradition.
