Local market in Santpedor
Every first Saturday of the month, the Plaça Gran U d'Octubre in Santpedor transforms into a meeting place dedicated to local businesses, responsible consumption, and locally sourced products. It's the perfect opportunity to buy directly from small local producers and meet the people behind each product.
Strolling among the stalls, you'll find a diverse selection that may include fruits and vegetables, cheeses, cured meats, clothing, jewelry, handmade soaps, and other locally produced goods. Shopping at this market is a way to support the local economy, foster a more direct relationship between producers and consumers, and discover unique, fresh, and high-quality items.
The market was created with the aim of promoting a more conscious and local consumption model. Since its inception, it has established itself as a space where small producers can showcase their work and bring their products directly to the public, without intermediaries.
The event coincides with the Rampoina Market, where residents of Santpedor sell items they no longer use. Clothes, books, toys, decorations, and other secondhand goods can find a new home and extend their lifespan, helping to reduce waste and promote reuse.
Head to the plaza, browse the stalls, and enjoy a unique morning of shopping. It's a combination of local products, sustainability, secondhand goods, and a village atmosphere.
Shall we meet?
