Feed your curiosity during Industrial Tourism Week in Catalonia!
Industrial Tourism Week 2026, organized by the Catalan Industrial Tourism Network (XATIC), will take place from October 16 to 25. For ten days, museums, businesses, and heritage sites throughout Catalonia will offer activities to explore the region's industrial history and its influence on the present.
The opening ceremony will take place in Manresa, which this year commemorates the 200th anniversary of Els Panyos, also known as the Can Miralda factory. It is the oldest factory in Catalonia that retains its original characteristics and was powered by the water of the Cardener River.
The program will include guided tours, interactive workshops, exhibitions, family activities, culinary experiences, and themed routes. One of the highlights will be the Blind Bus, with eight surprise itineraries through different Catalan regions. Participants will only know the starting point and the route name; the destinations and activities will be revealed during the journey.
Many facilities will also organize open days and special activities to showcase historic machinery, explain production processes, and raise awareness of Catalonia's industrial heritage. With the slogan "Descobreix com es fan les coses" (Discover how things are made), the initiative promotes sustainable, cultural, and experiential tourism.
