Catalan Industrial Tourism Week 2025
Feed your curiosity during Industrial Tourism Week in Catalonia!
Industrial Tourism Week (STI) 2025, organized by the Xarxa de Turisme Industrial de Cataluña (XATIC), celebrates its eleventh edition from October 17 to 26 with a broad and diverse program of activities throughout the region. For nine days, museums, companies, and heritage sites will open their doors to bring the public closer to Catalonia's rich industrial legacy and showcase its current relevance through immersive and experiential experiences.
The opening ceremony will be held on Friday, October 17th in Esparreguera, at the Museo de la Colonia Sedó, which is commemorating its 175th anniversary this year. This emblematic space will be the ideal setting to kick off a week that combines history, innovation, and local culture. The coincidence with this anniversary gives the start of the Week a particularly significant character, fully aligned with XATIC's goal of strengthening the link between heritage and contemporary society.
The Industrial Tourism Week program of activities includes guided tours, participatory workshops, exhibitions, family activities, themed routes, and gastronomic experiences. Among the highlights is once again the "Bus a Cegues," a surprise initiative that always generates great excitement. Participants only know the departure point and the name of the route, but the destination and the experiences they will enjoy are revealed along the way, adding excitement and mystery.
Throughout the week, numerous facilities will offer open days and special activities that will allow you to discover how historic machinery works, learn about ancient production processes, and relive the industrial history that has shaped Catalonia's economic and social development. All of this makes the STI a unique opportunity to enjoy a unique, active, and sustainable tourism experience.
Under the slogan "Discover how things are made," Industrial Tourism Week (STI) reaffirms its commitment to promoting Catalan industrial heritage and cultural and experiential tourism, open to families, groups of friends, locals, and visitors seeking unique getaways. This year's edition aims to consolidate its position as a cultural and tourism benchmark, with initiatives that combine learning, leisure, and excitement.
We look forward to seeing you!
