Guided tour: Medieval Peralada
Peralada is one of the most important medieval towns in the Empordà region. Its historical and cultural legacy is evident in the town's charming streets.
Through a tour of the town's most emblematic places, you will learn what life was like in medieval times as well as the legacy of its most illustrious son: Ramon Muntaner.
The visit to the historic center includes access to the Sant Domènec Cultural Tourism Center (Villa Museum), where we can admire the Romanesque cloister (late 12th century) and the remains of the old Iberian oppidum. We will also visit the church of Sant Martí to follow the architectural evolution of this old parish church. The tour will take us through the main squares and streets, following the birthplace of Ramon Muntaner and the legendary orchard where Na Mercadera defeated a French soldier.
