Visit: The Romanesque paintings of Santa Eulàlia, a treasure of the Empordà

We invite you to discover the Church of Santa Eulàlia de Vilanova de la Muga ( Peralada ), a monumental complex that preserves a valuable archaeological, historical and artistic heritage.
During the visit, you will see the Romanesque mural paintings in the central nave, where the Pantocrator, the tetramorph figures, and various scenes related to the life of Jesus stand out.
Restoration work carried out between 2018 and 2019 led to the discovery of new mural paintings, probably from the 17th century, previously unknown. Among these findings, the image of Saint Eulalia stands out.
The visit will continue with a guided tour of the main medieval remains of the town, among which the medieval lock stands out, the origin of the old mill canal.
A proposal to delve into the history of a space full of calm, beauty and memory, where every stone preserves a part of the past.

- The visit takes place on the 4th Saturday of each month, at 11 a.m.
- Price: €5.
- Children under 10 years old get in free.
