Gastronomic Day of Forgotten Plants in Igualada
The Eixarcolant Collective celebrates a new edition of the Gastronomic Day of Forgotten Plants (JGPO) in Igualada.
Throughout the day, various locations across the city will host a diverse program of workshops, talks, outings, family activities, culinary offerings, music, and live demonstrations. The aim is to make this knowledge accessible to everyone and show that many little-known plants can have a wide range of applications in cooking and everyday life.
The fair will be one of the day's main attractions. There will be over a hundred stalls offering wild products, traditional varieties, food, seeds, seedlings, crafts, and other items related to local and sustainable production models.
Gastronomy will have a prominent presence with tastings, culinary workshops, and experiences designed to discover new flavors and combinations. At the same time, attendees can also delve into topics related to traditional remedies, natural cosmetics, agriculture, sustainability, and ethnobotany.
The children will have their own activities, with creative workshops, games and proposals to experiment with plants and natural elements in a playful way.
A day to stroll, taste, learn and rediscover the relationship between people, plants and food from a different perspective and very closely linked to the territory.
Don't miss it!
