Corpus of Sitges
Sitges is once again impregnated with the essence of one of the most emblematic festivities of the traditional and cultural calendar, Corpus Christi!
The Sitges Corpus Christi is a party with six centuries of history and very participatory, with the making of 31 carpets in the streets of Sitges and the subsequent passage of the Procession. Declared a Festival of National Tourist and Artistic Interest, it includes the celebration of the Corpus Christi festival.
The main acts are concentrated on the Corpus Christi weekend, the Sunday after the Holy Trinity, and the most outstanding element is the making of the traditional flower carpets, with the participation of the population. At night, the procession of the Blessed Sacrament, will give meaning to the entire celebration by stepping on the carpeted streets.
