Carnival escudella in Queralbs

The Carnival stew, cooked by the locals in the Queralbs town square, attracts a large number of visitors year after year. It's a typical tradition on Carnival Sunday in Queralbs.

From 2:00 pm onwards, the Plaza de la Villa will be filled with a great atmosphere, music and that unmistakable smell of freshly made stew that invites you to stay, chat and enjoy.

It's a tradition that brings neighbors, families, and visitors together around a communal table, where the most important thing isn't just what's in the pot, but what's shared: laughter, conversation, and the spirit of the community. A perfect way to end the Carnival weekend with peace, warmth, and great taste.

To participate, you need a ticket for escudella (5 €), which can be purchased in person at the Town Hall from Wednesday, February 11th to Friday, February 13th, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (maximum 6 tickets per person). Additionally, on Sunday, February 15th, starting at 10:00 a.m., half of the remaining tickets will go on sale while supplies last. And if you'd like a special souvenir, you can also purchase a ceramic pot for 6 €.
