The route of the smugglers in Castellar de n'Hug
The international march of smugglers has been held since 1991, alternately between Castellar de n'Hug (Berguedà – Catalonia) and Osseja (Alta Cerdanya – Northern Catalonia).
The motivation of this is to remember an activity that helped the population of the area to survive and that was quite common in the Pyrenees in its border towns in difficult times, frequent in the past, where it was almost a way of life in an environment hard as the mountain
That is why we will not forget Jacques Obradors, among many trades, former smuggler, creator and soul of the March until 2011, and who made the march his contribution to maintaining collective memory.
