Experience opera in Vilallonga del Camp!

Vilallonga del Camp presents another opportunity to experience major international opera productions with a live broadcast of Georges Bizet's Carmen from the Royal Ballet & Opera in London. The screening will take place on Tuesday, November 10, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. in the Cinema Room of the Recreation Center.

Considered one of the most well-known and frequently performed operas in the universal repertoire, Carmen combines passion, jealousy, freedom and drama in a story marked by the strength of its characters and by a score full of melodies that have become emblematic.

The broadcast will allow viewers to follow the show live from London and enjoy the production on the big screen, bringing the experience of one of the great international operatic institutions to the people of Vilallonga del Camp without having to leave the municipality.

This version features musical direction by Sesto Quatrini and stage direction by Damiano Michieletto, with a cast headed by Aigul Akhmetshina as Carmen, Piotr Beczača as Don José and Kostas Smoriginas as Escamillo.

The proposal is part of the broadcasts that transform the cinema into a stage open to major opera productions and allow the genre to be discovered from a close and accessible perspective.

The entrance fee is €12, with the option of also purchasing a season ticket.
