Saint George in Sant Celoni
April 23, the day of Sant Jordi, has great symbolism for Catalan culture.
In Sant Celoni they celebrate the day, like many Catalan towns, filling the streets with a great variety of book stalls and roses, and they decorate the balconies with the flag.
On this date it is a tradition to remember a legend typical of the town: The legend of Soler de Vilardell, a mythical character who, thanks to a sword of virtue, saved the town of Sant Celoni from a ferocious dragon that threatened him.
Since 2010 , "La llegenda d'una espasa" has been performed outdoors, a light, music and theater show by the Municipal Expression Center and many entities of the town.
